Hartah's Casino - Something for Everyone - (4/5) Review For Harrah's Las Vegas Casino & Hotel Luckyc5 Aug 26 '17 at 3:16 A few years ago, while feeling particularly adventerous, I booked a room at the Quad (now the Linq). It had a reputation of being a total dump, and it lived up to that reputation. Harrah's was right next door. So after losing a chunk at our hotel, we headed over. Harrah's definitely had a bigger, more generous casino. After playing the slots for a whike, we wondered into the lounge area, where there was a piano bar. Being a hard rocker, I wasn't terribly interested until I listenedon't for a minute and realized that the song being played was Enter Sandman, by Metallica. We decided to stay at Harrah's for a while longer since the machines were being generous and there were lots of waitresses happy to keep my drinks coming. Around midnight we were hungry and decided to see what was open. We were pleasantly surprised by the large variety of food offerings. We could choose from pizza, deli sandwiches, steak dinners, Ice cream, or even a bakery. We spent a good amount of our trip at Harrah's. I go to Vegas twice a year, and the only reason I don't stay at Harrah'a is because they don't comp me. I generally stay at three Rio, where I get comped, and offered to upgrade to a Masquerade Suite for a nominal fee. The Rio has a free shuttle that takes us to Harrah's. Although it would be convenient to stay at Harrah's, I prefer to stay free, leaving me several hundred dollars saved on the room that I can spend in the casino and food.
