Review for Rocky Gap Casino & Resort Review For Rocky Gap Casino & Resort Google User Jul 18 '18 at 22:04 Had a horrible experience with the restaurants and managers at Rocky Gap. The service at the restaurants is incredibly slow no matter how busy or not busy they are. The front desk manager, Issac, was very rude to me and not accommodating at all when I had issues with my reservation. I told him I will be posting a review about my experience online and he did not seem to care. If he accomoodated me at all it would have made my stay better and he was not willing to budge. He considered booking me a room at their "regular nightly rate" on their most expensive floor, not even giving me a room with a view and charging me almost double what I was originally paying for, accommodating me. Then when I asked for a room with a view he lies and says he already gave me a discount and my room would have been $290 a night but he gave me $100 discount. However, a few minutes prior he said that what he charged me was their "regular nightly rate." The food at the restaurants is not worth the money or the wait and not worth dealing with inexperienced servers either. Also, if you are interested in doing any water sports while staying at the hotel, like kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, make sure to go to the state park to rent them because the hotel will charge you 3x the amount per hour than what the state park charges. AND the state park is right next store. There are plenty of other hotels with casinos and great views to stay at. I will not be staying at the Rocky Gap again, I will find a hotel that has actually trained their staff, especially managers like Issac, customer service skills and overall hospitality, seeing as how that's the business that their in and they seem to have none.
