Tin Rooster

My wife, son, his fiancée and I went to the Tin Rooster Friday evening, Nov. 22, for drinks and dinner. Dinner was about 8PM. My wife ordered chicken with salt potatoes, my son's fiancée, chicken salad without onions. The dinner was served. The salad had onions, my wife's dinner had French fries. My wife informed the waitress of the mistake and they brought over salt potatoes. We didn't think anything more about it until the waitress reappeared with a plate in her hand asking my wife for the French fries back. She took the fries back, some falling on the floor. My wife was curious so she asked the waitress why they took the fries back. The manager walked over and explained that "some people order food with the intention of not paying for it by pretending that they didn't order the food..." He also mentioned that he had to account for every French fry. Wonder how he does that after they're eaten. The meal and drinks was over $100. We weren't worried about the cost of fries. My son's fiancée decided against telling the waitress about the onions for fear someone would come over and pick them out of her salad. The manager wouldn't leave our table. He knelt down on one knee and continued to ask what he could do to make it better. My wife told him she felt uncomfortable and to please leave her alone. After listening to this self centered, immature "Restaurant Manager" for over five minutes I asked him to leave, that he was ruining our dinner. He then informed me that he didn't have to leave, that "it was his restaurant". The Oneida's might dispute that. He finally left, only to bring the bill, tapping me on the shoulder making it apparent that it was time for us to leave. I paid, then ordered another round of drinks. We sat for awhile, watching the band and talking. The waitress came up again and asked us to sit at another table. So we moved. Not sure why- nobody ever sat at our original table. Security hovered around table. Probably thinking we pocketed some fries. The band was very good. Our waitress was good. I'm pretty sure she felt uncomfortable asking for the fries back. The restaurant needs to change their policy and get rid of the manager.
