My fiancé and I spent a week in Key West then stayed one night in Miami beach and decided to try Red, the steakhouse. We had booked a reservation two days in advance and despite our pre-planning, we were sat in a booth in the bar. Our waitress was the bartender. I was wondering how a bartender could tend bar and serve tables at the same time. We found out from experience, its near impossible. The service we received seemed rushed, our waitress didn't spend more than 5 minutes taking our order or waiting on our table. We ordered a bottle of wine, served it to ourselves. The salad was poor, we ordered the crab claws for an entrée, which were served cold. It would have been nice if our waitress had informed us of the fact but her attention was clearly on the bar patrons. The side order of asparagus was probably the worst I've ever eaten. We spent nearly $250 on dinner, the most by far we had spent all week and it was by far the most disappointing. I'm not one of those types of people to complain but the reviews and the food and service were not comparable. By the way, the $250 tab was only for 1 meal, we had eaten like kings all week in Key West so we weren't really hungry so we shared 1 appetizer, 1 salad, 1 entrée, a side order of asparagus and a bottle of wine. yikes... not impressed...
