My wife and I have been coming to this casino since 2000 and to the CT race track for the horses since 1985. It's a solid place to attend for a good time. We played several indian casinos in California in September of last year as well as casinos on the strip and downtown in Las Vegas. The CA casinos were generally inferior to Hollywood Casino at Charles Town ("Hollywood") in several ways. The Las Vegas casinos were generally superior but there were exceptions. The constant complaints regarding Hollywood are getting old for me. No player can beat the slots over the long term. Also, the smoke is bad at times but this is a smoking casino so don't come if you can't take it. With respect to the tight slots, I can only surmise that the complainers don't gamble very much in other gaming venues. Lastly, any suggestion that management doesn't care about the customers makes no sense at all. Without customers any business will go broke. The only significant criticism I have is comp system. It really is one of the worst I've experienced. On balance, however, I like Hollywood and will continue driving two hour to get there. Be a glass half full person - life's too short for the alternative.
