The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because of the Check-in process, which was great customer service with a smile. It was valentine's day when I checked in and like I said the check-in process, once we got to a representative, was great. I originally booked a room in the Dennis Tower but when we checked in they said they didn't have any more available rooms in that tower and I would be "upgraded" to the Bally's Tower, which was old and outdated. It was like checking into the projects. One of the elevators wasn't working so it was always crowded and an inconvience. The hallway leading to the elevator and outside the elevators was always dirty, littered with trash, we stayed for two nights, three days. When we got off the elevators the hallway looked the same way it looked when I stayed with my friends back in 1993. The same decor, rug, paint, telephone, mirrors on the walls, everything. (What are they doing with the money they're making?) When we got in the room, it was far from an upgrade, if this was an upgrade, I hated to see what my regular room was supposed to look like. The bed was comfortable. That's about it. The woodworks, windowsill, and bathroom was dusty and the pain was peeling. There was no bottled water in the room, free or otherwise. The cabinet that housed the TV kept opening on one side no matter how much I tried to make it stay still. We forgot to bring toothbrushes so I called down to the front desk, they have no direct line to any department, so you're always speaking to someone at the front desk. I asked if I could have housekeeping bring up some toothbrushes and since it was Valentine's Day, we brought a bottle of wine, I also asked for a wind bottle opener, which they didn't have either, according to "housekeeping". There was no hotel guide in the room, so you didn't know where anything in the hotel was, the gym, pool, restaurants. No AC guide. No menus for room service even if we wanted to order. Luckily, we were going to be going out for all our meals. This hotel was so disappointing, it was dirty throughout and believe me I wasn't the only one complaining. As I was coming down to the casino, I heard plenty of people using the hotel phone to complain about the cleanliness. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! It'll be like checking into the projects for vacation. I'll NEVER stay again!!!!
