I have visited casinos all across the country, NV, IL, MO, MS, NJ...etc.. I live less than an hour from this location and this is the first time I have ever gone to visit. Nemacolin is a gorgeous resort and we decided to stop on the way back from dinner. Was not wild about the entry shenanigans but at least you get a gift card for the $10 entry price. The card can be used at the resort or the casino. We were there on a Saturday night so I was expecting crowds and high table limits. To my surprise, the crowds were just about right. I am primarily a dice and poker player so with no poker room we stuck to the dice table. I must say, the atmosphere for craps was quite decent. There was only one table open but it was $5 and there was beginner up to serious action on the table. Also, the dealers were very friendly and I did not see one person get hassled for anything regarding the play or betting. I have seen places where they are unusually anal about how you throw the dice, and not interacting with the players at all. This was nice, clean, and good experience at the table. The biggest two things that struck me as odd (besides an entry fee), were the players had absolutely ZERO enthusiasm. The one shooter made probably four passes on the table and barely a whisper. I am very accustomed to Vegas and I get this is a different scenario but still surprised at the lack of atmosphere. Also, in past days I have played quite a lot of slots. While I gave that up years ago, I felt bad for the slot players. I still for quite awhile watching a bank of slots and nobody won anything. It seemed like the machines were very, very tight. So, I realize they do not have the traffic to support a poker room and that is fine. I think the tables seemed very legit and friendly. I could not recommend going here if you are a slot player. Will update again if I go back, which I will likely do to hit the tables... good luck everyone!
