At first glance, the hotel is very opulent and makes one feel like they are staying at a high end establishment. However, my room was not what I had booked. The front desk fixed that, but it was in a handicap accessible room. Not really a problem since the difference is minor. But, the walk in shower allowed water to flow out and we had to mop up the floor after a shower. The environmental controls reset to a higher temperature so I awoke in the dead night because I was uncomfortably warm. The espresso machine did not make a very good drink. One elevator door was damaged and had sheet metal screws holding it together in places where it should have just been smooth and another elevator door had a gap and the passage of floors could be seen. As for the dining experience, the food vendors had outdated signs with items on the menu that were n no longer served. And, on a similar note, the in room booklet of information it off date, too. The restaurant/buffet does not have a breakfast at all even though it is stated in the booklet.
tl;dr: it's the little things that give this hotel away as a less than luxury experience. I would not stay there again for the money it costs because it is not as nice as it values itself.
On a good note, the pool was very relaxing.
