Interesting place to visit but after thought not an indispensable visit. It is far too "official" to be quaint. It hardly gives an insight of how the royal family lives. The apartments were not that great to visit as it looks more like a museum of many objects offered through the centuries and many paintings one doesn't even really enjoy as the flow of the visit doesnt allow contemplation much. it gives a great sensation of when official functons are happening. On another note, The castle is super groomed and, i believe it is a good place to visit but a bit dull. In comparison Hampton Courts is a more lively and gives more intimate details of the royal court but from a different era...
