I stay in Santiago on business one or two weeks a month and stay at this hotel because of its location, and have been traveling to the DR for more than 20 years. The food offerings are terrible. Breakfast is the worst. The staff seems to try to cook to suit American tastes, but they fail. Recommendations: Try some local fruits and dishes and some healthier lighter, choices. Most of the fruit on the breakfast buffet is imported. The Dominican Republic has some of the best fruit in the world, year round. Give guests a chance to sample those and cut back on the fried, oily foods. Rooms are fine. Coffee is great. Service is above average for the Dominican Republic.
