Lee a manager was aweful.I stayed at Harrods Grand Hotel a few nights ago. When we checked into the hotel it was kind of late and we went straight out to the casino. We didnt realize the toilet wasn't working properly until we returned after 1am. We allowed maintance to come in that late. He came with a plunger. The toilet wasn't stopped up, it was just the pressure was low and we had to flush it repeatedly to carry down tissue etc.., We were very tired after traveling all day. Just wanted to sleep. I set the thermostat at 60 degrees. I woke at 330am the room was hot, temp 74 degrees. My daughter was asleep.I thought I did something wrong and tried to re adjust it and went back to sleep. Woke up at 5am and the problem was the same. I tossed and turned and just got up and sit in the window and drinked coffee and took in the view. When my daughter woke up I asked her how did the room feel? She said it was hot. I spoke to a frontdesk supervisor who offered me a late check-out. I didn't need a late check-out I had places to go. I thought she told me, I would only be charged the resort fee but at check out I learned she was only waiving this fee. But however I had been charged for both room and resort fee on my card. When I returned home I was still disgusted by my experience, I called back and spoke to Lee a manager twice. He was rude, arrogant and very inconsiderate. He said they could have moved me to a different room. This would have been after we got in to bed and went fast to sleep and woke up after 3am and didn't know the air just wasn't working. Readjust it go back to sleep and wake up at 5am and figure it out. We are suppose to get out of bed, pack up and move????? He offer and upgrade on a return visit. With this treatment who wants to return???? I do not make it to Biloxi once a year. It was three years ago my last visit. Also Lee said he had spoke to the general manager whom was away for a week and she was in agreement with him. On another stay at this property, we didn't have hot water that night after returning from the beach or the next morning. Another time I reserved three rooms with a view of the gulf westside. When I arrived they put us all in rooms facing the pool. The time before this time I arrived at 5pm to check in (check in was suppose to be at 4pm) my room wasn't ready. We returned at 7pm and it still wasn't ready. Claimed a bus load of people had came just before me and I didn't get the view I requested this time either. Not to mention if I wanted to check in early that would have been an additonal charge.However the reason I return to this hotel is I absolutely love the view. The beds were so comfortable. And I loved the pace at this property. Had an excellent experience when my grand daughter left her shoes there, they found them and sent them to me at no charge. Property looks clean. Housekeeping does a great job. I noticed the hotel has done some remodeling.However on this visit I feel at least half of what I paid should have been credited back to me and I wouldn't have written this review I would have been happy. Next I am writing a review with TripAdvisor.
