Can't vouch for the rooms and the staff but my family and I walked over to look at the hotel as a possibility for our next stay. We stayed and the Hyatt and the Marriott love just as nice. I didn't like the smell in the lobby. I liked the open air lobby of the Hyatt better. The grounds were very pretty though with a lot of places to lounge outdoors. The hanging chairs were pretty cool. Of all of the hotels we looked at (Hyatt, Riu, Ritz, Playa Linda, Occidental, Marriott, Hilton, Holiday inn) the Hyatt and the Marriott were the nicest. It is a bit further down the beach but still very nice. The pool did have hours that surprised me. The Hyatt pool was open 24 hours but no staff on duty at night.
