Wife and I went just for one night so we could enjoy the lazy river. There was almost nobody else there in the pool area so that was really awesome. The hot tubs and water slide were a fun bonus too. We spent hours by the pool and it one gentleman who worked there even provided drink service. Drinks were not that expensive considering the surroundings.
The room was way nicer than I imagined and we were very pleased with the size and the beautiful Canyon view. The bathroom are also quite large and very updated. We were on the 20th floor and there was no smoke smell lingering up from the casino which made me happy. Usually the whole building smells.
The only concern was a problem they had with the air conditions unit for the whole hotel. The room was nice and cool, but there were very loud noises coming from the vents all throughout the night, which kept us from being able to sleep very long. I however feel that this was out of their control and just an unfortunate circumstance, so I would definitely not dock them points for that, especially since they gave us HALF off of our room price for the night when we checked out and alerted them to our discomfort. This also made us very happy.
We will absolutely return to Morongo and I would absolutely recommend it to friends. Already planning our next trip back!
