As far as Vegas hotel casinos go, the Tropicana is at a lower standard than most. The rooms are clean and adequate with no fridge or amenities other than 2 small waters. A big complaint is the room temperature. It never stays on for long enough to cool the room sufficiently regardless of what the temperature is set to on the thermostat. It stayed at about 71 even though the temperature was set to 68. Called front desk and they were very hospitable when I finally spoke to a manager. New room had same issue. Hard to sleep for me if room is not cool enough. Also, the pool area is pretty lame. No way was this voted "best pool in Vegas"! Rates are fair, casino small and limited. Sports book and small amount of TV's is terrible but... A short walk to MGM Grand.
