The check in began with the front desk expecting me to accept the main building, 1 of the 12 ocean front efficiency units completed of repairs in a damaged building crews of workman wear hardhats! I stated my reservation was at St Clementine. Reluctantly the front desk clerk gave me an efficentcy side facing ocean and main building. The construction crew and equipment are parked in the street below our room. Back from dinner the commercial generator and vacuum are running reverberating the building. Called front desk, assuringly told it will cease between 9 to 10pm. It didn't. No one answered the phone. By 1030 i am at office complaining. Finally i am offered to switch rooms it is 11pm. Yes it is quieter but did not want to packup and move all my stuff..... All night long...i am SO SORRY i didn't. Why did this not get offered to us at 7pm. Before booking ask about the completion of construction and your room location.
