I've had a family membership for the last few years and will not be renewing. My first issue was with kids hanging out on the equipment in the gym and not working out and the staff ignoring them and not doing anything, kids hanging outside the changing rooms on the floor and even being encouraged by one of the volunteers, who was obviously there friend. I've been in the locker room on many occasions when people have had their stuff stolen from lockers. I now only go to take my kids to their swimming class, which never starts on time and always seems chaotic, which wastes a lot of time on a 30 min class. There is absolutely no security in this place, people constantly just walk through the barrier and no one stops to check to see if they are allowed to enter, I see this happening every time I sit and wait for my kids to finish their swimming class in the lobby area. The hot tub is always crazy and is mostly used as another pool for kids to play around in and there's often creepy looking men sitting in there. In the new year I will gladly pay extra fees to not have to come to the YMCA, which in my opinion has seriously become an unsafe environment, not just for valuables but also from some of the people allowed to hang out there
