I booked this hotel by stopping in a mini-market in Las Vegas and asking for a recommendation. I was referred this hotel by an older gentleman who said that the cheap hotel I had booked online on the other side of town was not somewhere he would send his daughter with any kind of hope for her safety. Since I was alone, I ditched the $30 hotel room I had and booked at the Silver Nugget. What a paradise of privacy, beauty, comfort, and great food. I found the hotel restaurant very delicious -- and I came back to eat there several times. The casino offers fine service and allows for a variety of activities on the floor. I think there are two restaurants on site. I loved the spacious clean and lavishly furnished room. I was in love with the smaller group at the pool and found the help and guests to be very helpful and friendly. Right before leaving for the airport with my rental car, I lost my key. I was frantic, and the hotel staff bent over backwards to help me find the key, then when I could not find it, they helped me to call numbers for my quick return to the airport. I made my flight. Without their immediate assistance, I would have missed my plane. This hotel is a beautifully quiet and yet wonderfully restful place to stay. I won't stay anywhere else when I go to Vegas. An easy drive to the strip for the louder side of Vegas. This hotel is very nice to come home to at night and is a stone's throw away from the major lights and action downtown. Highly recommended.
