My husband and I booked a player king suite, so that we could have a belated celebration for our wedding this past July. We didn't have a honeymoon, and were planning to splurge a little tonight with a fancy room.
We arrived at 4 pm and were told that the room was not ready, so we waited for almost an hour without complaint. We then find out that we have been given a different room, and not the suite we had paid for. We found this out after we had checked in and walked up to our room. We then walked back down to the lobby, where the manager on shift told us that you are not guaranteed the room that you paid for. She also shared that we might have been bumped for "high rollers." She didn't use that word exactly, but implied that they may have given our suite away to people who were spending a lot of money.
I understand things happen, and that this was likely out of her hands, but the miscommunication put a damper on our weekend.
