Went to the Hard Rock, Punta Cana over Thanksgiving 2016. The beaches and the pools were beautiful....the ocean was warm, but had a very strong rip tide the entire time we were there. The rooms were great, house keeping was awesome. Nobody spoke English! The food was border line horrible, except for the Brazilian steak house. Everything else was marginal if best. My daughter came home with Salmonella....again, I expected more than we got in terms of quality on the food. When we first got to the hotel....they tried selling us time shares....before we even got to our room. The main lobby area of the hotel is very tired. The weather was outstanding the entire time we were there....85 degrees and sunny! We did the spa ...which was a high lite of our trip. We also did an excursion on the dune buggies....horrible to see how poor the country is. The natives were rude....trying to get you to buy their crap. We are not rushing back here any time soon. Our bar is set pretty hi...nothing like the Atlantis in Paradise Island!
