Pros: - Very close to a beautiful beach - Nice colonial club beach towels - Grounds and pools are well maintained and clean. - Large selection of drinks and cocktails. - Rooms are large and clean. - Large selection of food. - Large variety of entertainment for adults and kids. - Room service for colonial club members. - Nice TV in rooms. Cons: - Check-in times are long. It took them 3hrs to get us a room. Apparently this resort is infamous for over booking. Staff will continuously lie about how long your wait will be if you ask them. - Staff are blatantly less friendly to guests that are not white!! - Club members are told they will have a personal butler to introduce them to the resort and assist them with anything. However we saw ours only once the entire week. We didn't even get an introduction to the resort grounds and facilities. - We didn't have all the amenities in the room promised to colonial club members on arrival. When I asked guest services they made several excuses before helping. - The room air conditioner would randomly stop working. Rooms are dated. - There were people complaining of money being stolen from their rooms but management didn't care at all. - Management didn't' seem to care about any issues presented to them. Overall I liked how clean everything was, the close proximity of the beach, and the amazing cocktails. I disliked how disorganised management and guest services was. I was very displeased with how we were treated differently because of our skin color.
