Sunday afternoon visit to the Rampart nets local Las Vegas man over $14,000,000! Only visiting the casino because a friend was in town. Says he will donate winnings to charity and build his church a new ahem.... church! Strangely, the lucky gambler was not willing to give his name, but happily posed for a photo with the enormous check!
Vegas man wins $14M on Megabucks at Rampart Casino
Las Vegas Review-Journal

http://www.reviewjournal.com/business/casinos-gaming/vegas-man-wins-14m-megabucks-rampart-casino

It appears that there are a lot of doubters on the internet questioning the validity of the photo! Anybody know who the gentleman is?

Hi guys! New member to the site. I am a European player planning my first trip to Vegas next year and I have a question that I hope you can answer for me. I am aware that wins over $1,200 are subject to federal taxes. Are the taxes different for overseas players visiting Vegas? I am curious as to what would happen if I have get a Hand Pay(or 2) when on holiday. Cheers in advance!

Hi Pedro, welcome to the site. You would still have to fill out the tax form, but I believe it's up to you whether or not you declare your winnings with the US govt and pay taxes on it. Unless you win a massive 100k+ jackpot, you should be fine keeping your winnings "hush hush"
