I'm so pleasantly surprised at the state of repair in this hotel. I don't normally stay at this end of the strip but had specific requirements on a short trip so proximity was important.
The hotel is large and spacious and the pool area looks great, and nicely zoned and divided up to have some character about it. What really made this stay for me, was the amazing suite I stayed in, which was amongst the best rooms I've stayed at in Vegas, let alone globally. The suite comprised of a large hall with W/C opening into a large open plan dining room, lounge and kitchen with bar. This was a very large room. Then on into the bedroom via double doors, another large room with king sized bed, jacuzzi and a separate lounge area. Perhaps the highlight of the suite if I had to choose, was the large seated shower room, sauna, and dressing area.
The Tropicana comes in at a mid range price in Las Vegas and for a room like this, it's smart money.
