Winnemuca itself is not very big or exciting when compared to many other Vegas cities but what it lacks in lights and loud music, it mmakes up in its fun and laid back atmosphere. Winners Inn and Casino is a fun little place to stay if you're looking for a night or weekend of gambling without having to deal with hundreds of random people in 100+ degree weather. The rooms remind me of the guest room in a little old lady's house. There is no microwave or fridge but there is a mini coffee maker, nice A.C./heater and a HDTV (small, wall mounted). We were also provided coupons for 4 free beers at the bar. The 24 hour restaraunt is decent but I suggest choosing something on the menu that doesn't take long to prepare. I ordered the "Turkey Dinner" which comes with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and fresh veggies. It looked and tasted like high priced TV dinner. The person staying with me ordered a burger which was much better. Overall, I would definitely stay here again but would be more cautious with my food order.
