Generally a great hotel with an historic vibe (it's a renovated 1941 hotel from Vegas' early days, now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It's very affordable for the quality of rooms which are good. It's well located in Las Vegas' burgeoning downtown, and there's a ton of great food options within a few minutes walk, as well as a few solid ones inside the front door, too. The hotel service desk varies a bit on quality from excellent to mediocre, but it is Nevada - the casino is the focus. This is my go to hotel whenever I'm visiting Vegas and I highly recommend it.
