I have been a loyal Borgata customer since it opened in 2003. What I have always loved about this hotel was the outstanding customer service. It used to be a priority but it seems now that may not be the case any more. We were recently there to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday and were greatly disappointed with the service we experienced. Firstly, the rooms and the hallways were not as clean as they normally are, there were several bottle caps left on the floor in my room and the bathroom could have been cleaned better. Also, there was a bag of garbage left on our floor by the elevators for several hours, not to mention the numerous room service trays left lining the hallway. Finally, on the casino floor there was a broken glass that was not cleaned up for quite some time. It was there for over an hour, how did no one notice? I sincerely hope that this will not be the new normal now that MGM has acquired The Borgata. I will return to Borgata but hope that my next visit will be a more positive one.
