Enjoyed our stay at Boomtown Best Western. It was a good value for a one-night stay in the Reno area. Layout of the property is a bit convoluted and cumbersome, with parking for RV's and car-trailers is ample but not necessarily convenient to the hotel itself.
Ate in the Steak house, which was pleasant and food was very good. Rooms were large, with good mattress, although older and in need of deep cleaning. Property is aged and in need of sprucing but certainly served the purpose and was overall a good value.
Staff was friendly but noticeably ignorant of their property and the various amenities and utility pieces of information. Even a Front Desk Supervisor told me she had not been over to one side of the property and gave me incorrect information regarding entrances and parking. Wait staff and cashiers in the restaurant and casino displayed the same level of property ignorance and misinformation. However, in all cases, staff was friendly and wanted to be helpful.
