My husband and I were actually staying at the Luxor the night of the mass shooting that took place on October 1st. With all the confusion and chaos we found ourselves on the street, unable to get back into our hotel. After a few hours we managed to get a taxi. We just told the taxi to take us far away to a nice hotel. He brought us to the M. The M was amazing!! The staff were so kind and accommodating. They gave us water bottles and really made us feel safe and welcome even though we looked pretty rough and many of us without shoes. : ) The hotel is gorgeous! Rooms are classy and clean! Our entire stay was a wonderful. I hope to go back under better circumstances.
