Barona Resort & Casino

Crab legs/clusters & oysters. Need I say more? $44.99 buffet all day Player Tier Discount Pricing- Diamond: FREE Platinum: $14.99 Gold:$20.99 Classic: Earn 500 Club Barona points in a calendar day - $23.99. Classic discounted price must be redeemed same day 500 points are earned. Buffet, whaddayasay, baby? First time checking out Barona, it was imperative we check out their Seasons Fresh Buffet during our weekend trip. As soon as we arrived, we made sure to sign up as Club Barona members. Playing nickel slots with gusto, we soon earned 500 Club Barona points & received the $23.99 buffet discounted price. Buffet regulars already know the layout. Themed islands have various cuisines - Mexican, Asian fusion, classic American etc. After being led to our tables, I was soon running toward the oysters & crab legs, piling them high on my plates. Oh, yeah! I was slurping oysters out of the shell like a sea otter. Cracked crab shells flying all over the place, as I dug into that deliciously sweet meat. Instead of sturdy crab shell crushers, Seasons Fresh had flimsy plastic tools, which I foregoed for my tough & trusty chompers. I found the rest of the buffet options at Seasons Fresh to be mediocre, lacking and, in most cases, just plain unappetizing. Sushi looked dreadful. Chinese food looked on par w/ Hong Kong Express quality. A pho/ramen/dim sum station served up very watered down tonkotsu ramen. I wasn't expecting much, so I wasn't disappointed. Much. Where does Seasons Fresh find some redemption? Their desserts! Your sweet tooth won't go unloved here. Whether you're looking for cheesecake, arroz con leche, cookies or ice cream, it's all here for the taking. Highlights for me where the bananas foster & chocolate fountain. Service was great. The young female attendant made sure to keep our drinks filled and our tables cleared, even with the large amount of people dining. I enjoyed our dinner at Seasons Fresh Buffet in Barona, but just for the crab & oysters. In my opinion, other SoCal casinos have better all around buffet offerings. However, with tiered discount pricing for Club Barona members, a good deal can be had. I know I got my money's worth on seafood alone, so I found appeasement with a full belly of shellfish & a wallet with some slot machine winnings.
