The hotel is well accommodating and neat. The malecon ocean view amazing. The staff of the hotel are warm, caring, and welcoming with the exception of 2 people. One of them is front desk managers Jesus Perez. Mr. Perez happen to stereotype guest like myself. Nevertheless upon my arrival to check in. I had to wait approximately 20 minutes nevertheless there was any guest check in or inquiring about anything, meaning no one was occupied but yet had me wait. Once Mr. Perez proceeded to checked me in, he stated he needed to hold a deposit incase for any damages to the room and that nothing was included therefore anything I needed I would have to pay. On the 2nd day of my stay early morning for breakfast which was exquisitely delicious and well presented. Mr. Perez approach me to remind me nothing is included and that I had to pay, although another employee said I'm a Marriott Rewards Member and that I had an all inclusive as well as access to the club level and anything else within the hotel facilities. Nevertheless Mr. Perez said the information was incorrect and insisted I had to pay. Furthermore I proceeded to pay and after this 2nd incident. He happened to apologized for all the misunderstanding and stated he needed more training. Mr. Perez granted me the correct set of room key which will also grant me access to the club level. In addition he offered a free Spa 1hr massage and extended his apologies. I did thank him for reevaluating himself and suggested to NEVER underestimate any person regardless of their clothing, skin color, sexual orientation, ect...to please treat every guest with dignity and respect. I also reminded him of the mystery shoppers therefore to do his job with pride and dignity with equal respect for everyone else. Although he accommodated and compensated I still had proceeded to called my airline and changed my flight to return back home United States of America (Florida). Thank you and Good Luck to whom ever decides to stay in the near future, hopefully Mr. Perez doesn't make the same mistake again.
