Stayed at the Prague Marriott for new year's 2017, and the hotel itself is on the nicer side in terms of rooms and amenities. What really sets the hotel apart is the staff - the guy who checked me in couldn't have been nicer and was clearly enthusiastic about everything Czech. He made detailed notes on not one, but two maps showing the best spots of the city, places to avoid, good restaurants to visit, and historic landmarks. He also gave advice regarding cultural cues to look for and how to respond. The guy was the embodiment of 'above and beyond' and even though I stayed in Prague for 3 months when I was in college, I still learned a great deal about the city. Apart from the staff, the location is hard to beat. Everything in the city is pretty much a 15 minute walk from the hotel. And Prague is as walkable a city as you'll find, so there aren't any boring spots - it's pretty much activity from the Vlatava all the way to Wenceslas Square. Also, as I was writing this review they brought cake and champagne for my birthday (born on December 31). I don't have enough good things to say about this hotel and couldn't be happier to have stayed here during my vacation.
