My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Black Bear Casino Resort. We choose this location because we like to gamble, but also because it is close to Duluth and we wanted to be able to go there and do some shopping and exploring. We stayed in the older hotel. The room was a little dated and worn, but overall it was clean and comfortable. We could hear the noise from the pool, but it really wasn't an issue. We ate at the buffet, and the food was good and staff was friendly. I will say that there was a 90 minute wait for the buffet, but it was well organized even if there was even more waiting to actually be seated once they called our number. As for the casino, there is an excellent selection of slots, including new games and old favorites.
