The Oakhurst Lodge was one of the more affordable accommodations in Oakhurst. Unfortunately, the hotel needs some major work. In the room that my wife and I stayed in was mediocre at best. The room looked like it was recently remodeled but was never finished. I have yet to stay in another hotel that had laminet flooring throughout. This made the room rather cold. The door also had quite large gaps in the weather stripping making the room colder. The heater fan was very loud and needs to be serviced. Also, the toilet needs attention as it runs continually after using it until you have to open it and reattach the chain to the handle. Even then, it occasionally runs for no reason. Next time I come this way, I will likely stay else where even though it costs a bit more. Avoid room 20 at all costs!!!
