Stayed at the Grand Bahia for 8nights. Requested dish soap to clean my baby’s bottle. Was told “we will see what we can do” that was day 1. We”re now back home and never got the soap. We called multiple times. Only to be told at front desk, it was never possible. Food was mediocre at best. The beach restaurant had the best food. Don Pablo was not very good. I got sick from the salmon. My husband and I went to the Italy restaurant for Valentine’s Day, food was so bad that we left it. Buffet food was better than the restaurants. Upgrades needed in the room. Bathroom shower was very small. And the handle for the shower kept falling off. Our key cards for our room kept not working. This also happened to the 3 families we stayed with. We had to constantly go to the lobby to get it fixed. (Hotel is big, so the walk was long) Our friends go stuck in the elevator and the help button didn’t work. They didn’t have air in the elevator. After pounding on the door a guest came to their rescue. Staff was no where to be found. Service by the pool was average. We enjoyed the pool. We signed up for the loyalty program when we booked. No perks. And would not stay at a Bahia Resort again. Bring enough diapers, wipes and formula. Because they don’t sell items for babies at the lobby shop.
