In a former life I worked here. I have since moved out of state. The place has changed a lot. Not sure what the direction the current ownership is looking for. The rooms have been updated. It looks the the updates were on a tight budget. We ate at Rosies, which was not bad. This current visit we ate at the buffet. Spent $85 for 2 adults and 2 children. Terrible. I can't believe how bad the quality has deteriorated. It was never great, but now it's awful. I have always tried to patronize the Nugget out of a sense of loyalty maybe. No more. There was only cold prime rib at the carving station, and shrimp scampi. The rest of the menu was poor. Salad area was decent. The staff was friendly, but the quality is just not there like it was in the past. I probably will be back due to affordability, and one of few casinos with an indoor pool. Once my children have grown, I doubt I'll ever be back.
