The "renovated" rooms in the Tower definitely look better in the photos online than they do in person. Comfortable enough, but still dated. Maybe our room was only "half done" with renovations... ha!. Desperately wish they had mini fridges available in the room, as I was travelling as a new mom and had to pump breastmilk that had to be kept cold -- thankfully, they were able to bring me one. They stock the rooms with exactly 3 towels -- so be sure to ask for extra if you need them. There is NO room service available after 2pm, which makes it especially unfortunate when every restaurant in the hotel is closed before 11pm. Nothing like having to spend $13 on 2 liters of water at the convenience store --- where they don't put prices on anything, and your tiny "snack" plus water costs $35+. The "resort fee" is almost as much as the room. I wish that there would be an ordinance or law passed that restrict hotels from doing mandatory "resort fees".... the airlines don't get to get away with that anymore... hopefully hotels and resorts are next. Just build it into your rate and call it a day. The front desk and concierge were very cordial and helpful, so that was nice. Our bellhop was fantastic. When we head back to Vegas, I won't choose the Luxor again. Too inconvenient, everything closes up and you have to walk to the shoppes at Mandalay Bay. If you don't care about restaurants with decent hours, room service or renovated rooms, then this is an affordable option. But if you do care, I'd pick another hotel.
