The fair grounds host various activities throughout the year. Various activities such as craft fairs, wedding parties, Christmas celebrations and most notably, The Illinois State fair. The fairground itself is modest in most of its features. The building maintenance is about average for fairgrounds. Getting around the fairgrounds is easy. Parking is adequate, except during The Illinois State Fair, during which it is woefully lacking.
Fortunately, there are blocks and blocks of yards surrounding the fair with attendants selling spots to park during that time of year. Its strange because: What could ever go wrong with handing a stranger without any permit or registration money and then leaving your car in a random persons yard? Then again some consider that gamble part of the fun of going to the fair.
