Nice hotel, decent restaurants and casino. Preeminent location on the strip, however the smell in the hallway was awful. Poor communication artistry at front counter that failed to communicate that the tower we were staying in was currently undergoing construction and it was very noisy early in the morning . Front desk did offer to change rooms but when you have children it is an inconvenience to be moving rooms after a long trip. I'd have preferred to be inform at the front desk during check-in and not find out on my own the following morning. In addition, the room was not properly cleaned, long hairs on two pillows, comforter and bathroom sink. Housekeeping staff was courteous and resolved the issue within the hour. Management contacted us 3 hours after to apologize for the inconvenience.
The reason for the 2 stars is because I have never encountered any issues with other hotels and it was disconcerting. There was also an issue with additional charges that hopefully will be taken care of adequately.
On a positive note, I must say that all the staff was very attentive and very good with children. I was truly hesitant in bringing my children to this hotel and just going back to the Venetian due to the negative reviews regarding children. I did not have any issues pertaining to the children and my children were very happy, the staff was friendly and helpful.
