I’d won a voucher for accommodation in the main hotel and I paid to upgrade to a lagoon room for my husbands birthday. There was confusion when we checked in about this and we didn’t feel very welcome. Staying only one night, there was no forthcoming information about the venues restaurants or any promotion about the fact it was the casinos 35th birthday. This was significant to us because we were married at the casino and stayed in a suite on the top floor. There was no feeling of luxury or value for the expensive upgrade - the reception smelled like a cheap can of toilet deodorant. There’s so much opportunity for up selling and promotion to you customers, just an effort to make them feel welcome, which is free would go so far to improving the experience for guests. We spent all our money dining, gambling and enjoying ourselves on the premises, of our own accord anyway.
