Checking in was a breeze with the kiosks. The room was fine, nothing special. We opted for the no room service to get a $10 credit. The morning of check out, which is at 11, a maid tried to get into the room at 9:30. We were getting ready and had to run to the door to close it before she came in. As we shut the door in a rush, we hear the maid get upset that we shut the door. Called the front desk to advise them that we weren't the only ones they had woken up and attempted to enter other's rooms. Front desk advised me that we should have hung the do not disturb tag. I've never had a hotel where the maids knock once then enter the room. It was very intrusive and I've never dealt with this before. I understand they need to clean the rooms, but honestly that should start AFTER we check out. OR we should be made aware that they will be starting cleaning early and to make sure we hang the tag if we will not be ready to go at 9AM ......
