The only country music bar in Atlantic City! It is located inside Trop, just down the hall from Hooters. I visited this bar for the first time over the weekend and enjoyed myself. They play constant country music (mostly modern) via youtube music videos on the bar televisions. Kind of cool to watch the videos of the songs you are hearing. But, also kind of tacky because there is no jukebox and they tend to play too much of the same artist at a time. When I was there for happy hour on Thursday (4-7pm $3 drafts), I heard nothing but Kenny Chesney playing. They really should mix it up a bit more, and would be nice to hear some classic country too like Cash, Coe, Haggard, etc.. Bartenders were friendly and service was great!
I also returned here on Friday night, in which a really good live country band was playing. (They also have live bands every Fri and Sat night at 10pm). Although band was good, it still wasn't too crowded and the bar still lacked a lively vibe. There were a few people attempting to line dance, but mostly an older crowd. I think they need to advertise a little more and promote their bar. It was a good place to hear country music and enjoy a beer.
