A family member used to work at the Reef and purchased my parents a gift card for dinner at the steakhouse. The card didn't have any date stamps or expiration info on it, and it said that it was good for dinner for two people. My parents went to use it for their wedding anniversary last night and were told that the steakhouse had undergone management changes and they were no longer accepting gift certificates like that. For my parents to get dressed up and go all the way out to the casino for their anniversary, and then be told that because management had changed, their legitimate certificate was no good anymore, is very disappointing. My family has been going there for years but I personally am no longer interested. To not honor a legitimate certificate is very low, and a really bad way to keep your longtime customers. After being turned away my parents went to the Hearthfire and had a nice dinner, but this whole experience really put a damper on their evening.
