We have stayed at multiple Shilo properties and have generally had a good experience. We had family visiting and booked two adjoining rooms. They arrived a night before us and didn't have heat in their room which was not fixed nor was it attempted to be fixed. The night we arrived we wanted to unwind by getting room service and our food, which included a ribeye steak, was delivered to us in small to go boxes along with plastic silverware. My child's hamburger was so overdone she refused to eat it. The property itself is in an ideal location, but it is dirty and poorly maintained. Finally, I sent an email to the Newport property noting my concerns approximately 3 weeks ago and I waited a week and sent another to the main group and I have yet to get a response. It's disappointing to see what a turn for the worse this location has taken over the past few years. I am sure we will try them again in a few years, but we would prefer to give them some time to get some of their difficulties figured out.
