We had been spoiled going to "fancier" resorts in the past on other islands, but due to budgetary constraints were looking for something more affordable. It's hard to pick something from a distance but we settled on this for a week long stay. We were not disappointed at all. Though not fancy, and as others have commented, the actual buildings are fairly old, they are very well maintained and the staff is generally pleasant and helpful. The bars are fairly efficient, the food is decent enough. The beach itself is amazing and well worth it. Gripes with the restaurant reservation procedure are well founded, but most resorts like this do something like that to manage the volume of diners at the restaurants so not sure how to get around that. I would recommend this if you want to have an affordable and relaxing stay in Antigua.
