My husband and I went at approx 10pm on Saturday, June 9th for our first and LAST time.
Our first stop was the Club Centaur desk to sign up for a reward card. First impressions mean so much. The first people that guests have an opportunity to interact with should have good Customer Service skills. At the very minimum these employees should be able to make guests feel welcome and be there to help with any assistance that may be required. The representative at the service desk made us feel as if it was the end of the world to give us information and sign us up for new a rewards card (her job.) We should have turned around and left.
Very dirty restrooms and the area around the slot machines was filthy with dirty ashtrays next to each machine.
The Staff was rude and couldn’t be bothered for assistance, especially at the Deli. We took in to consideration that they had above average attendance because the second race of the Triple Crown was earlier in the day. However, if you choose work with the public, you should be prepared to treat customers with courtesy and provide assistance to be best of your ability. I have worked in the service industry for over 30 years. Everyone has bad days, at the same time your customers should never know when you are having one.
We will not be returning and wouldn’t recommend anyone looking to have a good time to go there either. Major disappointment.
