Currently sitting in the lobby of Majestic Colonial on the phone with my booking agency. Our reservation confirmation clearly says ‘Majestic Colonial Club’ plain as day. Rude front desk staff hands us a key to a regular room on the family side and forces us to call the travel agency and have them call the reservations department to make any changes. Now on hold waiting for 30 minutes and counting, waiting for them to confirm our booking with the hotel. The agency said it is written in the system as ‘Majestic Colonial Club’. No clue who is lying, but the fact is we paid extra for the club side. Horrible customer service, and we haven’t even started the trip. Obviously this will be the last time staying here, and we’ve been loyal to this hotel each time we’ve visited the Dominican Republic.
