I planned a 40th birthday retreat with friends here at the Sandia resort. The reason that this resort fails is the management has setup a terrible customer service policy system and the staff follow it to a tee. Customer service is not the priority here and that makes for a very frustrating stay. They moved us to another room mid stay and they did not have the new room available. We waited for hours between rooms. They would not provide a late check-out for anyone who stayed. The pool does not have umbrellas despite the 95° day. The service at the golf club was very slow to start. We sat there for 15 minutes before we were served. The valet staff was good. The bell hop staff was good. The security staff was good. The management system is rigid and not customer focused.
