Double Eagle Hotel & Casino

We stopped in at the DE coffee shop. The coffee was average and pricey. We asked about pastry and they didn't sell that. We strolled through the casino and played a little. We have fond memories of the DE Casino back when a casino ruin to Cripple Creek was a part of our extended family's summer plans. It was a quick trip for many of us from southern Colorado who'd travel to thus town and casino specifically where the slots were hot, tables crowded and the more a person spent the better the comps were. Today, the place was deserted, parking was anywhere you'd like and the machines ate $60 in no time flat. It's sad to see the decline in Cripple Creek in general. We miss then good ole days.
