We blocked rooms (30) for our wedding this past weekend, and we started the process in December of 2017. I called the hotel and was told I would have to get a hold of the Group Sales Executive, Kerry Bradley. I ended up leaving her a voicemail and didn't hear back from her for over a week. I then sent her multiple emails and heard nothing. I didn't hear back from her until I called the hotel again and mentioned something. We had so many issues with people not being able to book a room in our wedding block. I had to call every time someone wanted to block because they kept telling everyone that our block didn't exist, even though every time I would call they said they found it right away. I messaged Kerry and asked her if we could have a "honeymoon suite" or just a large suite with a jacuzzi tub in it. She emailed me back and said I couldn't book that because those are for people who are playing at the casino. We actually had most everyone who blocked rooms there, including ourselves play at the casino so I thought that response was a little ridiculous, and also I'm paying for the room so I should be able to get whatever room I wish to have that is available. I emailed Kerry about the issues people were having blocking rooms, because it seemed no one knew how to actually look up a room block, and she said she would take care of it and give us a discount for the inconvenience. However, even after this people were still having issues booking. This was so incredibly frustrating. Not only this but when people called to book a room in our block, they wouldn't put them in our block so that they could get the discount. They had to call multiple times and be bounced around to get this fixed. Come to the day of check-in we had nothing but issues with checking in. I know at least 5 or 6 other people with us who had these same issues. They kept telling us that they had no rooms available and that they overbooked (again remember we booked well over 7 months out). And when we did finally get rooms, they stuck people in rooms with paint fumes, gave people rooms they didn't want and had no apologetic nature in their attitudes. The whole entire hotel is dirty, stains all over the floors and you couldn't find a corner that didn't smell like cigarette smoke. We got into our room and the floors were dirty and smelled like fish. Skip to the next day when we returned at midnight after our wedding was over, and 5 of us (including myself and my husband) were locked out of our rooms. They only had our keys working for one night. Are you kidding me?? No one was happy at this point and they acted as if we were bothering them when we needed new keys and as if this was something they did every day when people booked multiple nights. The next morning we went to try breakfast around 9-9:30 am and we got down there, got our plates and everything was already cold and definitely not fresh. And then we got double charged as well. To say this experience from the time we called them to reserve room blocks to the time we left was disgusting, horrifying, embarrassing and disappointing is an understatement. I'm sorry that I had to leave a review like this, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. We had nothing but issues the entire time and it saddens me my guests had to stay in a facility like this.
