I was in the neighborhood, trying to get some brunch, and my first option was way too busy. I pulled over to find something else and found myself directly in front of The Sit Down. 4 stars on Yelp? Brunch advertised out front? Fine. The place was empty when I walked in and I immediately became suspicious. That's never a good sign. Still, they had just opened for the day and maybe brunch was a new thing they were trying. I'm glad I stayed. The food was really good. Beef short rib hash had tons of meat and a real Italian beef flavor to it. The croque madame was AMAZING. The coffee was solid, too. Even had tiramisu for dessert because reasons. Very enjoyable. Next time I come back I'm trying the pizzas, because they looked great.
