Rarely do I ever give out a 5 star rating on the first go around at any restaurant, so when I actually do, folks you want to pay close attention. My wife and I went in to Ciera Steak & Chophouse expecting your typical style steak house. 1st mistake on our part, I felt like I should of gone and changed into a suit, and my wife had only dreamt of being taken to a place so fancy. Steve our server made us feel right at home though. I do not drink but my wife had one of their Merlots and was in love with it. Alejandro, our secondary server helped my wife feel more like she did belong there. First most of the tables there are more like private dining areas with heavy curtains that help muffle any noise, but it's a cool temperature place. We started off with Salads her having the wedge with crumbled cheddar and bacon, I had the grilled avocado salad and for that bit if deliciousness I gave up my peppered vinaigrette dressing recipe. Then our main course was the chataubei for two. Both my wife and I looked at each other and a fully admitted that our favorite steakhouse had been dethroned from their place as number one. For that meal I ended up giving them my Honey Mustard Marinade and my Spicey Honey Marinade the latter having never been given out to anyone ever before. And the price of the excellent service and food was comparable to what we've been charged at Ruby River in Reno. Ciera Steak and Chophouse up at Montbleu at Stateline NV At lake Tahoe is a must go to well worth it. Steve and Alejandro thank you for the excellent service and to the chefs thank you for the perfectly cooked food.
